President Kovind visits Strahov Monastery in Prague

Prague (Czech Republic), Sep 09 (ANI): President Ram Nath Kovind visited Strahov Monastery in Prague on September 08. He was accompanied by his wife Savita Kovind. He also visited the library which holds over 3000 manuscripts and incunabula and 200 thousands volumes of old books including 9th century Book of Gospels printed on parchment. The President is on an eight-day tour of Cyprus, Bulgaria and Czech Republic.

3 arrested with 1359 kg cannabis hidden in oil tanker

Dharmanagar (Tripura), Sep 08 (ANI): In continuation of the war against illicit drug trafficking, police seized a huge quantity of cannabis hidden in an oil tanker. Police have arrested 3 persons were trying to smuggled the cannabis out of the state. The market value of the seized cannabis is approx Rs. 1 crore. The seized cannabis weighed a total of 1359 Kilograms and was concealed in 99 packets. Police are on the lookout for few more people involved in this crime.

US lawmakers urge new Pak govt to grant minorities equal rights

(US), Sep 07 (ANI): US lawmakers have urged Pakistan to treat its ethnic and religious minorities with the respect and dignity they deserve and grant them rights as equal citizens of Pakistan. UK extends support to NATO troops in Afghanistan

New Delhi, Sep 05 (ANI): 100 Welsh Guards were added to the NATO troops in Afghanistan during United Kingdom (UK) Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson's visit to Kabul last week, UK's Ministry of Defence said on Tuesday. The troops are the first of the 440 additional personnel that will be deployed by the UK for the NATO forces. The addition will see the UK become the third largest contributor to troops in Afghanistan with 1,100 personnel, TOLO News reported.
