Islamabad (Pakistan), Aug 02 (ANI): Another all-party conference (APC) meeting was held by the opposition to concoct a strategy to decide the future course of action with regards to alleged rigging of elections. The agenda of the meeting includes finalising the names of the opposition's candidates for the posts of prime minister, speaker, and deputy speaker as well as finalise a strategy regarding the oath-taking of the MNAs-elect. The opposition also devises a strategy in connection with holding protests inside and outside the parliament.
New Delhi, Aug 02 (ANI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) confirmed that no foreign dignitaries have been invited for the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister-in-waiting, Imran Khan. "We will not invite any foreign dignitaries," Geo News quoted PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry, as saying. As per Chaudhry, Khan has decided to keep the ceremony 'extremely simple' and not 'ostentatious', and will be a 'purely national event'. However, the PTI spokesperson said only select friends of Khan have been invited to the swearing-in, such as former Indian cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and Navjot Singh Sidhu, and actor Aamir Khan. Khan will be the 20th Prime Minister of Pakistan and the swearing-in ceremony will be held at President's House in Islamabad.

London, Jul 31 (ANI): Liquor baron Vijay Mallya was granted bail by London's Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday. This was the concluding stage of a final hearing in his extradition case, where the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) on behalf of India and the defence presented their final submissions. Next hearing in the extradition case against Mallya will be held on September 12. Speaking to mediapersons, Mallya said, "I have not included any clemency plea in my unconditional offer to the Karnataka High Court. All that we have said to the court is, here are my assets worth 14,000 crores, please tell them under judicial supervision to pay the banks and the other creditors. That's it. There are no further requests at all."
Lombok (Indonesia), Jul 31 (ANI): In a deadly earthquake more than a dozen people died and over 680 people are trapped on a volcano on the famous tourist island of Lombok in Indonesia. Currently, a rescue operation is underway to save those trapped tourists in landslides on Mount Rinjani, an active volcano. In the 6.4 magnitude quake that struck off eastern Indonesia, thousands of houses were damaged.
Kathmandu (Nepal), July 30 (ANI): Hindu devotees from across Nepal and India thronged various shrines of Hindu Lord Shiva as part of 'Bol Bom', a holy pilgrimage ritual that is observed every year in the month of Shrawan. During this pilgrimage, devotees walk for miles barefooted before offering the water to Lord Shiva. Nepal every year welcomes thousands of Indian pilgrims in the month of Shrawan. New Delhi, Jul 30 (ANI): The United States (US) President Donald Trump said he was willing to shut down the government if the promises made by the Congress to fund his border wall were not fulfilled by September. "I would be willing to 'shut down' government if the Democrats do not give us the votes for Border Security, which includes the Wall! Must get rid of Lottery, Catch and Release etc. and finally go to system of Immigration based on MERIT! We need great people coming into our Country!" Trump tweeted. Frankfurt (Germany), Jul 29 (ANI): Baloch Republican Party Germany chapter activist staged a protest in Germany's Frankfurt on Sunday. The agitators protested against Pakistan to raise issue of human rights violations and persecution of Baloch people in Balochistan. Protestors gathered in Frankfurt city and raised anti-Pakistan slogans by calling Pakistan a terrorist state. They accused Pakistan Army and spy agency, the ISI for supporting terrorist groups like ISIS, Al-Qaeda and the Taliban who are engaged in the enforced disappearances and killings of Baloch people. The protesters urged the European Parliament and United Nations to take immediate note on the worsening human rights situation in Balochistan. People of Balochistan have been protesting across the world seeking help from international community and human rights organisations.
Gilgit-Baltistan(POK), Jul 29 (ANI): Hundreds of people in Gilgit Baltistan took to the streets of Ghizer town on Sunday morning, denouncing the flagrant violation of Anti- Terrorism Act by Islamabad. Local leaders accuse Islamabad of using the Act as a tool of extra-judicial killing and repression, and orchestrating similar circumstances to what it has done previously in Balochistan and Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA). Shafqat Inqlabi, Karakoram National Movement leader accused Islamabad of designing "schedule IV to instill a sense of fear in us," while addressing to the hundreds of people gathered to protest the Anti-Terrorism Act. Another nationalist leader calling the updated fourth schedule of Pakistan as "atrocious" said, "Names of peaceful citizens have been placed under the Fourth schedule of the Act; some are businessmen and others are teachers." He further added, "If establishment doesn't want this then we'll be forced to choose a different path."
Washington DC (US), Jul 28 (ANI): The Voice of Karachi chairman Nadeem Nusrat has slammed the results of recent elections in Pakistan, who he said the elections were engineered by Pakistani military authorities. In a statement issued from the US capital Washington DC, Nadeem Nusrat said, "The entire world is aware of the massive levels of the rigging that took place in the election as most of the observers have mentioned in their reports after the elections. The whole election campaign was not transparent by any means. Pakistani military establishment gave the special preferential treatment to Imran Khan and his political party".

The workers of party staged protest against the election results in Pakistan's Manshera. The party president, Asfandyar Wali Khan had earlier announced that the party will hold protest. The elections in Pakistan were held on July 25. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will be sworn-in as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan before August 14.
Lahore (Pakistan), Jul 28 (ANI): A multi-party conference (MPC) was called for by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to concoct a strategy over the alleged rigging of the General Elections 2018. Chaired by PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif and Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the MPC rejected the poll results and demanded a transparent re-election. "We reject this election as it's not a true mandate of the people,' said Fazlur Rehman.

Kathmandu (Nepal), Jul 27 (ANI): At least eight people died in a landslide in Nepal's Rasuwa district in northern Nepal. Search for one more person is underway. People died when their houses got buried in the landslide. The landslide obstructed the Syafru-Rasuwagadhi highway and disrupted electricity, telephone and customs duty task in the area. It also buried a temporary police post at Timure, the gateway to Gosainkunda Municipality.
