Fire accident at Shasun's Cuddalore facility claims one life

No significant loss in revenue or production due to the above accident, says company

Shasun Pharmaceuticals Limited informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that there was a fire accident at its new production block during trial & commissioning at Cuddalore API facility, Tamil Nadu on November 16, 2015.

"Company regrets to inform the sad demise of one worker in the accident. One more injured employee has been admitted in the hospital for treatment," stated the company.

Shasun has informed the government authorities about the same and is investigating the root cause of the accident.

The damage on account of fire is being assessed for which the company has adequate insurance cover. However there will not be any significant loss of revenue or production due to the above accident, said the company.
