Body of youth found floating on lake

The body of a youth who had drowned nearly a month ago was found floating on Sattal lake near the tourist town today.

22-year-old Mohit Sammal's bodywas recovered from the lake, 25 days after he drowned in it, Additional SP Harish Chandra Sati said.

Mohit, who used to work at Sattal, had taken a kayak to the centre of the lake where the vessel tipped over. Not wearing a life jacket, Mohit had drowned immediately.

Local police had earlier made futile efforts to recover the body by scouring the lake with a net.
