Indefinite bus strike in WB from Oct 9

"There is no change in our stand on the strike," Syndicate General secretary Sadhan Das told PTI here.
"If the Bengal bus syndicate, mini-bus operators' unions and taxi associations do not coordinate with us in the strike, we will go ahead with our own decision," he said.
He said that after the recent diesel price hike, it had become totally unviable to run buses at old fares.
To a question, Das expressed hope that Transport Minister Madan Mitra would discuss the issue with them and find a solution.
