Judicial probe ordered into prisoner's death

Chief Judicial Magistrate Suresh Chand has ordered a judicial probe into the death of prisoner Yusuf, official sources said, adding that it will be conducted under Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate B S Mishra.

The inquiry report would be submitted within a month.

Yusuf, who was serving life term in connection to a murder case two years ago, died here on Wednesday reportedly due to ill health.

However, his family has alleged that he died due to the lack of proper treatment in the jail.
