The farewell run of "Mughal-e- Azam: The Musical" here has been extended for one more week.

The musical will now be staged till February 18.

"It's hard to say goodbye to Delhi and their love and appreciation for Mughal-e-Azam. Their support has compelled us to extend the shows by another week," director Feroz Abbas Khan.

The play has been running to packed houses in its farewell run that started from February 1 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Delhi.

We have been receiving requests from the audience to add more shows. Since this season will be the last in Delhi, we did not want to let the fans and audiences down and so we have decided to extend the shows," said Deepesh Salgia, creative and strategic vision: Mughal-e-Azam.

So far more than 60,000 Delhites have seen and loved the play, the team said.

After it completes its Delhi run, the play will travel to Ahmedabad in March for its inaugural run in Gujarat.
