Won that!

Abraham Joseph has collected a lot of awards this year. But as he walked onto the stage to collect the Indian Motorcycle Of The Year 2008 award for the Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi, his smile and pride were reflected in the faces of the huge contingent of people from Bajaj who had come for the glittering evening.
A S Mehta, director-marketing, JK Tyre, gave away the trophy at the inaugural awards function, as members of the motoring journalist fraternity and media members from newspapers and TV channels attended the event.
Like the Indian Car Of The Year award, automotive magazines have once again joined hands to honour the most outstanding Indian motorcycle launched in calendar year 2007. This year, other than the Pulsar 220, the contenders were the
Bajaj XCD DTS-Si, Hero Honda Hunk and the TVS Apache RTR 160.
Joseph said, "We have received many awards from individual magazines. All of them are dedicated to what they do and how they approach it. So when they come together and select our motorcycle as the best of the year's launches, it makes us especially proud." Joseph also promised that more exciting products were just around the corner.
Congratulations Bajaj, the 220 was the deserving winner. And a big thank you to JK Tyre, the IMOTY jury and all the automotive magazines for making the inaugural IMOTY awards a resounding success!
