Aditya Birla Nuvo consol FY07 net Rs 281cr

Aditya Birla Nuvo has reported a consolidated net profit (after minority interest) of Rs 281.23 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 (FY07) as compared to Rs 204.04 crore in FY06. Total income (net of excise) during the fiscal stood at Rs 8,322.02 crore from Rs 5,040.25 crore in FY06.

According to the release issued by the company to BSE today, due to the merger of Indo Gulf Fertilizers and Birla Global Finance from the appointed date September 01, 2005, the results for the full year are not strictly comparable with that of the corresponding year.

For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 (Q4FY07), the company posted a 17.7% increase in net profit at Rs 82.52 crore as against Rs 70.11 crore Q4FY06. Total Income rose to Rs 2,564.31 crore from Rs 1,762.73 crore in Q4FY06.

On a stand-alone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 224.97 crore for FY07 as against Rs 186.93 crore in FY06. Total income also grew to Rs 3,464.98 crore from Rs 2,665.49 crore in FY06.

The company posted a 10% increase in net profit at Rs 62.26 crore in Q4FY07 as against Rs 56.67 crore in QFY06. Total income also moved up at Rs 870.29 crore from Rs 767.69 crore Q4FY06.
