Anti-theft door from Sahyadri

After residential developers and individuals, Sahyadri Industries Ltd (SIL) is now targeting banks and financial institutions to sell its anti-theft steel doors under the brand name 'Entasafe'.
 
The company is also planning to set up a Rs 35-crore plant in Pune "once the brand is established". SIL, which belongs to the Patel Group, currently manufactures cement roofing sheets under the brand name 'Swastik'.
 
The plant is expected to come up by the end of 2008 after the company attains the critical volume of 500 doors per month. At present, the company receives order for around 250 doors per month. The door comes with at least four cylindrical locks and in seven designs.
 
SIL had ventured into the business of anti-theft door almost a year ago in technical collaboration with a South Korean company. Its Pune godown has a capacity to store an inventory of 2,500-3,000 doors
 
The company also plans to provide customised doors once its plant is set up, he said, adding, "We are planning to initiate talks with banks and financial institutions for these doors from the security point of view. We are also planning to introduce high-end doors made of copper for bungalow owners and those who don't mind spending a bit more." These doors would be priced at Rs 75,000
 
The company has around 14 distributors in the state, of which three are in Ahmedabad. After launching Entasafe in Pune and now in Ahmedabad, the company plans to move towards north India and Kolkata.
