Asian Panaria eyes luxury tile segment

Asian Panaria Private Limited is eyeing a 35 per cent market share in the luxury tile market in India.
A joint venture between Indian ceramic tiles manufacturers, Asian Granito India Ltd, and Italian tile manufacturer Panariagroup, believes the luxury tile market in India is expected to double in next few years.
It has launched Bellissimo – ‘STILE ITALIANO’, targeted towards the high-end luxury tiles segment in India Sanjay Monga , Country manager (India), Asian Panaria Private Limited, syas the luxury tile market in India is growing at 25 per cent, compared to 12-15 per cent growth in the tile market in India.
The tile market in India is valued at 12,000 cr with 50 per cent share of organized players. The luxury tile segment in India is 4 per cent of the organised tile market, valued at Rs 250 cr. It plans to invest Rs 100 crore over the next 3-5 years in manufacturing as well as setting up a nation-wide distribution network for luxury tiles.
For promoting the luxury tiles the company is focusing more on BTL activities. As per Monga the company would also target planners, interior designers, architects for promoting the luxury brand tiles in India.
