Writing instrument maker Camlin Fine Sciences plans to set up a new facility at Dahej Special Economic Zone for manufacturing 9,000 tonnes per annum of hydroquinone and 6,000 tonnes per annum of vanillin at an estimated investment of Rs 185 crore.
“We have already acquired land for the proposed plant and applied for environment clearance apart from initiating basic engineering work. The project is expected to be commissioned in September 2017,” said Ashish Dandekar, managing director of the company.
The company is in process of setting up a subsidiary in Mexico and China, which initially will be a warehousing hub for stock and sale of its products.
