Cigniti acquires Gallop

Hyderabad-based Cigniti Technologies Limited, an independent software testing services company, had acquired US-based Gallop Solutions Inc, which also provides the same services. The cost of acquisition has not been disclosed.

The combined entity is poised to become the world's third largest independent software testing services company with revenues of $40 million and more than 800 employees worldwide, Cigniti stated in a press release here on Wednesday.

According to Cigniti's strategy and corporate development president Sriram Rajaram, the company's aim is to become the world leader in software testing in the next few years through a combination of organic and inorganic growth.
 

Acquisition of Gallop "will help our mission," he said.

Founded in 2009 by Manohar Reddy and Mahendra Alladi, Gallop Solutions is based in Texas with an offshore technology centre at Hyderabad.

Gallop Solutions employs 200 people worldwide with 2012 revenues over $9.5 million.
