Century Textiles and Industries has reported a net profit of Rs 28.41 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2003, up 660 per cent compared to Rs 3.74 crore recorded during the same period of the previous fiscal.

Net sales/income from operations rose to Rs 546.59 crore (Rs 542 crore), a company release said in Mumbai on Friday. The textiles division posted a lower net profit of Rs 14.15 crore (Rs 16.66 crore).
