Etabu to offer 1.7 million page content for under Rs 100 a month

Etabu.com, an online platform for interdisciplinary collaboration and a global knowledge sharing podium with unlimited access to notes and tutorials developed by Singapore-based Itabu Pte Limited, has announced its official launch in India on Friday.

Etabu is a responsive and user friendly website that eliminates the needs to carry bulky books, saves on usage of paper and connects the students to the digital world of over 1.7 million pages of study material, tutorials and notes and multimedia content.

"Considering how advanced the Indian educational system is, and given the difficulties in travelling, we believed India was a great place to start. Also, India has one of the largest community of growing under graduate educational needs. Etabu's long term aim is to be available in every country. However, our focus right now is only on India,"Madhukar founder anf chief technology officer of Itabu Pte Limited said.

 

The company has put in eight years of efforts to build the platform and it was in no hurry to raise any additional funding in the next five years, according to Madhukar.

The website was in the Beta phase for almost two years so as to have a robust amount of content before going live and it already has 3.5 lakh registered students on bard before going live, the company claimed.

As long as a person belong to any university across the globe, he or she can set up an Etabu account and gain access to the over 2,000 courses, covering about about 14,000 subjects comprising of more than 1.7 million pages of notes and tutorial content currently available on Etabu, Madhukar said. The company has priced its premium content at Rs 99 a month.
