Event for innovators in January

The Pune Chapter of IITBA (Indian Institute of Technology Bombay Alumni Association) and TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) are jointly organising an event in the city on January 7, 2007, which would provide a platform for innovators to showcase 'ideas that are already in practice'.

The event will showcase 15 innovations from fields like biotechnology, auto, retail, manufacturing and information technology, among others.

The innovations should be in practice for at least a year for getting selected.

The event will provide a platform for innovators to make a six-minute presentation to an audience consisting venture capitalists, financial institutions, R&D foundations, scientists, academicians, corporate executives and media professionals.

The last date for sending nominations is November 10 and the selection procedure for short listing the best 15 innovations would be completed by December 7.

The entry fee is Rs 1000 and the selected innovators will have to pay another Rs 10,000 as presentation fee.
