State-run mining major Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) reported 19 per cent rise in net profit for the second quarter of 2014-15.
The company’s net profit went up by 19.04 per cent from Rs 46.32 crore in the second quarter of 2013-14 to Rs 55.14 crore in the recently-ended September quarter.
The total income from operations increased to Rs 268.15 crore in the second quarter of current fiscal from Rs 175.24 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, registering 53.01 per cent rise.
On Friday, shares of the company closed at Rs 150.10, down by Rs 3.90 from Thursday’s close of Rs 154.
