H&R Johnson plans Rs 50cr marketing campaign

| H&R Johnson (India) Limited is planning a major marketing campaign of Rs 50 crore during the current fiscal to drive its ambitious target of Rs 1,000 crore turnover. |
| The company will be focusing the marketing spend on its core brands Johnson Tiles and Marbonite. Johnson Tiles is the company's flagship brand under which it markets ceramic wall and floor tile products across India. |
| On the other hand, the company's vitrified tiles are sold under the Marbonite brand. The marketing activity will be launched in 80 locations across the country. |
| "We have a clear strategy for growth and the strength of our key brands to back our ambitious target this year," company's managing director Vijay Aggarwal stated in a press release on Tuesday. |
| During the current year, the company is targeting leadership position in the north market. Ever since the company's north foray in April 2005, the sales volumes in the region are stated to have grown by over 400 per cent as compared with its annualised volumes prior to that period. |
| The company recorded a revenue growth of 38 per cent at Rs 206 crore during the first quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared with its revenues during the same period last year. |
