HCC sees 17% jump in orders during Mar 08-09

Mumbai-based Hindustan Construction Company today said it has recorded a jump of 17 per cent in its order book at Rs 17,000 crore during the period between March 2008 and March 2009.
"Our order book has gone up from Rs 10,000 crore to Rs 17,000 crore from the period between March last year to March this year," Hindustan Construction Company Chairman (HCC) and Managing Director Ajit Gulabchand told reporters on the sidelines of CII annual session here today.
HCC has also received orders for three road construction projects under public private partnership (PPP) mode.
The company is also looking for partnership for the airport development project, he said.
He, however, declined to name the companies he is talking to for partnering the airport development project.
