HGS Q2 profits up 18.5% to Rs 37.41 cr

Hinduja Global Services (HGS), the BPO and technology services arm of the Hinduja Group, reported a 18.5% growth in second quarter profits at Rs 37.41 crore. Its revenue grew 15% at Rs 905 crore. The back office provider said margins stood at 13% in the quarter. HGS reported profits of Rs 31.56 crore on revenue of RS 789 crore in the same period last year.
Partha DeSarkar, chief executive of HGS, said the topline growth was driven by robust performance in healthcare vertical and offshore business.
During this quarter, the company opened a delivery centre in Philippines.
