ICICI Bank, the largest private sector lender in the country, today said all its branches in West Bengal will now collect taxes on behalf of the state government. The taxes to the state government can be paid at any of its branches in West Bengal even if the tax payer does not have an account with ICICI Bank.
"We believe that this new facility, in addition to our online facility, will offer more convenience and ease to tax payers in the state. We look forward to more such opportunities for associating with the state government in the near future," Anirudh Kamani, general manager of ICICI Bank, said in a statement.
ICICI Bank has a network of 171 branches in West Bengal as on December 31, 2013.
