Ipca Laboratories Q2 net dips 17% to Rs 77.96 cr

Ipca Laboratories today said its net profit declined by 17.07% to Rs 77.96 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2011, over the same period previous fiscal, primarily due to forex loss.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 94.01 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Ipca Laboratories said in a filing to the BSE.

During the quarter under review, the company's forex loss stood at Rs 27.15 crore compared to a gain of Rs 28.84 crore in the same period last fiscal.

Total income of the company, however, rose to Rs 626.14 crore during the second quarter compared to Rs 521 crore in the same period last fiscal.

The company also declared an interim dividend of Rs 1 per share (50%).
