karROX Technologies, engaged in providing high-end training in software, is introducing a new concept of an IT training mall across the counrty.

Jitendra Nair, vice president-IT training said, "The IT training market today has a lot of limitations with regards to what course one can choose and how one can do it. This is largely owing to limited capacities of each institute. We have the capacity to launch a course no sooner than it is launched in the US ensuring that our students remain at the cutting edge of technology."

Set up in 1992 by Darshan Mehta, karRox is venture funded by Sidbi and other strategic investors such as Godrej Capital, Enam Financials and Birla Sun Life.

karROX's offer courses ranging from software development to networking and wireless technology and e-security.

karROX has plans to grow from 70 centres to 150 centres by the end of the current fiscal.

Adds Nair, "The idea is to take karROX to the market allowing students all over the country to avail of the facilities and training on high-end technologies offered by us, enabling them to stay ahead of the competition and increase their net value in the technology market. We will be using the franchisee model to expand our offices in the country and are in talks with quite a few people in this regards."

The company also plans to leverage its Singapore offices to venture into the Chinese market with a portfolio offering high-end IT training programmes and products covering among other areas enterprise resource planning. It also plans an entry into Malaysia and Mauritius within the next few months.

karROX has the unique distinction of being the only study centre for IGNOU in the state offering masters, post graduate and diploma courses in information technology.

karROX has also tied up the Sikkim Manipal University to offer similar courses for IT and ITeS industries. It recently became the only IT training institute in Mumbai to get a certification from EC Concil (International Concil of e-commerce consultants) allowing it offer a course on ethical hacking.
