Addressing a press conference, A D Verma, general manager (sales) of Kinetic Motor Company, said: "The total market segment is around three lakh which is mainly among the college students. At present, we sell around 5,000 vehicles of the Zing 65 version."

Verma added that the company which at present has a 25 per cent market share in the scooterette segment, hopes to increase it to 50 per cent with the launch.

The on-road price of the Zing 80 is Rs 29,323, which is approximately Rs 5,000 lower than other scooterette models available in the market.
