Kinfra to set up five rural apparel parks

The Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) is setting up five rural apparel parks in the state, with the first set to come up at Thiruvambadi in Kozhikode district. The foundation stone for the Thiruvambadi park will be laid on August 3. The Rural Apparel Parks programme is expected to give a boost to the textiles sector and provide large-scale employ-ment in rural areas. The project is proposed to be funded through a grant of Rs 25 crore by the state govern-ment, which will also provide land free-of-cost.
