L & T To Set Up 17 Ready Mix Concrete Units

Engineering major Larsen & Toubro, after announcing the divestment of its cement division without the ready mix concrete business, is now planning a major expansion of this line.

The company that already has five ready mix concrete units, is planning to set up 17 more units across the country.

This will bring it in direct competition with the Aditya Birla group firm Grasim, which also has a thriving ready mix concrete business.

The ready mix concrete business of L&T has a turnover of around Rs 220 crore per annum.
