LJ Hooker eyes Hyd

Realty brokerage major LJ Hooker, after setting up offices in Bangalore, is now eyeing Hyderabad to set up branded brokerage offices.
Addressing the media on Thursday, Ramneek Bakshi, principal, LJ Hooker, said the company in a short span of three months had set up three offices on a franchisee basis and now is looking at "Hyderabad, which has a huge non-resident Indian (NRIs) interest. We hope to be there by the year end through our franchisee model."
LJ Hooker is an 80-year-old Australia-based real estate firm having over 700 franchisee owners in Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific countries.
According to Bakshi, the brokerage firm takes fees only from one party (either the seller or the buyer) and the parent organisation takes commission from the franchisee.
Another area it plan to focus is managing properties for absentee landlords targeted at NRIs. The company to maximise its franchise earnings is close to tying up with housing finance companies.
