Noida-based Luxor Writing Instruments Pvt. Ltd. is planning to launch five ‘Luxor Signature’ retail stores in Gujarat. After Vadodara, the company recently launched its second store in the state in Ahmedabad.
“We intend to open atleast five stores in Gujarat in the next two years. We are looking at cities like Surat and Rajkot, after Ahmedabad and Vadodara. Gujarat being an industrial state, we are expecting a business of Rs 7-8 lakh per month from our large retail stores,” said Pooja Jain, executive director of Luxor Group.
The retail stores offer a complete range of Parker, Watermann, Parker Premium and Pilot writing instruments, alongwith the music and travel accessories, and premium stationery.
Announcing the launch of the store in Ahmedabad, Jain said, “This is our 13th store in India. Spread across an area of 1,000 sq. ft., the store offers a wide variety of writing instruments and gift boutiques.”
Luxury products like Parker Premium, Watermann, Cross Pens and Monte Verde are priced anywhere between Rs 3,000 and Rs 10 lakh. The company manufactures around 300 million writing instruments per day and holds 10 per cent share in the Rs 2,500 crore writing instruments market in India.
Of the Rs 250 crore turnover, Luxor exports around 30 per cent to over 120 countries including the US, Canada, Europe, Middle East and Australia.
Luxor, Pilot and Parker form the flagship brands of the company.
