MindTree, Tata Tele & Tata Metaliks Q1 results

IT services company MindTree has posted a net loss of Rs 13 crore for the quarter ended June 2008 against a net profit of Rs 20.62 crore in the year-ago period.

The loss was a result of the rupee depreciation and foreign exchange losses of Rs 50 crore. The revenue of the company went up by 38 per cent to Rs 223 crore in the quarter under review.

 

Tata Tele Q1 loss widens to Rs 35 cr

Mumbai: Tata Teleservices Maharashtra's net loss for the first quarter ended June 2008 rose to Rs 34.71 crore from Rs 28.42 crore in the previous year. Total income for the period went up to Rs 504.89 crore from Rs 409.60 crore in the same period last year.

Tata Metaliks Q1 net profit up 31%

Kolkata: Pig iron maker Tata Metaliks has recorded a net profit of Rs 20.1 crore in the first quarter ended June 2008, an increase of 31.37 per cent over the same period last year, on the back of higher prices.

Profit before tax was Rs 30.8 crore, an increase of 30.5 per cent. Net sales for the quarter was Rs 314.5 crore, an increase of 48.9 per cent.
