Noida Toll in black with Rs 3 cr profit

Noida Toll Bridge Company (NTBCL), the concessionaire for the Delhi Noida Toll Bridge, reported a net profit of Rs 3.03 crore for the quarter ended December 2006 against a net loss of Rs 2.97 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.

The turnaround was possible due to a steady increase in revenue and reduction in operation and maintenance expenses and finance charges.

Opto Circuits net surges 85% to Rs 49 cr

Healthcare equipment manufacturer Opto Circuits (India) has registered 85 per cent rise in its net profit for the third quarter ended December 31 to Rs 49.01 crore against Rs 26.43 crore in the same period last year.

The company's consolidated sales went up by 73 per cent at Rs 167.36 crore during the quarter as against Rs 96.67 crore in the same period last year.

Other income lifts MRPL net five-fold

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals recorded over a five-fold jump in net profit at Rs 118.46 crore for the quarter ended December 2006 compared with Rs 19.37 crore in the same quarter of the previous year on the back of a huge jump in other income to Rs 82.14 crore from Rs 12.99 crore.
