State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) today said it has restored two-thirds of the crude oil production that was stopped due to the three-day strike by company executives.
"Against the normal production of 3,42,000 barrels per day the western offshore fields were today morning producing 3,10,000 barrels per day," ONGC Chairman and Managing Director R S Sharma told reporters.
The oil production is likely to reach normal level by late this evening or early tomorrow morning, he said. ONGC would also restore gas production from western offshore to the normal level by tomorrow. "Against 44 million standard cubic meters per day, the output right now is 28 mmscmd," he said.
