ONGC Petro-additions Ltd (OPaL), promoted by public sector oil and gas major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), today entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ahmedabad-based Torrent Energy Ltd for supply of bulk power.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>According to an official release, the first phase of the gas-based power plant being set up by Torrent Energy will be commissioned by 2011-12.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>According to&nbsp;the MoU, Torrent will provide OPaL with sustained power supply, in synchronisation with OPaL's planned commissioning of its Petrochemicals Complex.<BR><BR>The MoU was signed by ONGC Director for HR and Business Development, A K Balyan, and Markand Bhatt, director of Torrent Power Ltd, the release stated.</P></p></table>
