Paramount Airways, which will shortly be launching its operations in Hyderabad, plans to connect the city to metros like Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai within the next six months.

The airline will be launching its operations on the Chennai-Hyderabad and Hyderabad-Kochi routes on April 19. Addressing the media, Ajay Grover, head of marketing and sales, Paramount Airways, said, "We plan to go national by 2007-08. We will, therefore, be launching operations in metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore soon."

Paramount Airways will be increasing its fleet size to eight by the end of this year and 20 by the next year. "For this purpose, we will be acquiring both Embraer and Boeing aircraft," Grover said. So far, Paramount Airways has been running its operations only with Embraer aircraft.

The airline also plans to set up a 24-hour call centre in Chennai. Frequent flier programmes and valet service for baggage screening are the other services that it plans to launch shortly. It intends entering into interline arrangements with international airlines too.
