Piramal Life Sciences Q2 net loss at Rs 31cr

Drug research firm Piramal Life Sciences today reported a net loss of Rs 31.47 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009, while it had a net loss of Rs 26.31 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Net sales stood at Rs 2.55 crore for the quarter ended September, while the company did not provide sales figure for the same quarter in the previous fiscal, Piramal Life Sciences said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

However, Piramal Life Sciences has reported a net sales of Rs 2.29 crore for the previous year ended March 31, 2009.
