SapnaOnline.com, the digital arm of city-based multi-brand bookstore Sapna Book House, on Wednesday said it has acquired Ishita Technologies Private Limited and its three brands – Bookadda.com, Acadzone.com, and Koolskool.com.
While Sapna Book House did not disclose the deal valuation, it said, Ishita Technologies was valued at $13 million in its previous rounds of fund-raising.
Bookadda.com is an online book store, while Acadzone.com offers textbooks and competitive exam preparation materials online. Koolskool.com too sells textbooks and other study aids through the Internet.

Post this acquisition, SapnaOnline will offer stock inventory of 12.5 million titles to end-users, and also service Bookadda.com’s existing customer base of two million. The company will continue to retain the existing features and services offered by the three newly-acquired websites. However, SapnaOnline plans to centralise shipments from its own website and BookAdda.com.
“The amalgamation of these brands will enable SapnaOnline to establish technologically empowered end-to-end offerings and provide a one-stop solution to the education and readership market,” SapnaOnline said in a release. “It will also increase the product offerings to Sapna’s existing clientele of 10,800 schools and institutions.”
The transaction was facilitated by Moneyville Financials, the release said.
