Scooters India sees 20% net growth

Public sector three-wheeler maker Scooters India Ltd (SIL) today said it expected a 20 per cent growth in net profit this fiscal.
 
Scooters India Managing Director P K Datta said the company's revenues were expected to be around Rs 180 crore this financial year against Rs 150 crore last fiscal.
 
Sil's net profit last fiscal was Rs 1.6 crore.
 
Datta said on the sidelines of the Auto Expo that the total unit sales last fiscal were about 16,000 vehicles, about 70 per cent of them diesel.
 
"We are expecting a growth of 20 to 30 per cent this fiscal," he added.
 
He said rising input costs had put a pressure on the margins.
