SITA ties up with MIAL for passenger solutions

Under the agreement SITA will provide its common-use check-in and boarding, along with self-service kiosks

Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) has entered into a ten-year agreement with SITA, a  specialist in air transport communications and information technology for passenger handling, baggage reconciliation and security solutions.

Under the agreement SITA will provide its common-use check-in and boarding, along with self-service kiosks. baggage reconciliation system and its application which is used  to process passengers at terminal entry points and before existing boarding gates also increasing overall security.

Hani El-Assaad, SITA President, Middle East, India and Africa, said: “This major agreement, confirms SITA’s commitment to, and leadership position in, the air transport industry in India

SITA will fully integrate the passenger services with the existing airport management system  delivering benefits to both airlines and passengers. As part of the program, the new systems will be used at the existing domestic terminals 1A and 1B and also in the new  integrated terminal T2.
