Skoda to tap luxury car market in state

 Skoda launched its luxury car Octavia in Gujarat a year and a half ago and has so far sold over 650 units.

 The company expects to further expand its presence in the state with the introduction of the super luxury car Skoda Superb, which will be launched commercially in the first week of March next year.

 The car was unveiled for the first time in Gujarat on Wednesday.

 Although Gujarat does not figure too prominently on the sales chart of Skoda Octavia, the company plans an expansion of its network in Gujarat.
