Tata Steel Jul-Sep sales at 2.04 mn tonne, up from 1.73 mn year ago

Apr-Sep sales at 4.04 mn tonne, up 22% on year

Tata Steel produced 2.46 mn tonne of hot metal in Jul-Sep, up 19% from the corresponding period last year, the company said in a release today.

 

The company crude steel production in the period under review, was 2.29 mn tonne, also up 19% on year. The saleable steel production during the quarter was 2.21 mn tonne, up 18% from last year. Sales in the quarter stood at 2.04 mn tonne, up from 1.73 mn tonne a year ago.

 

During Apr-Sep, the company’s saleable steel production rose 21% on year to 4.35 mn tonne. The company sold 4.04 mn tonne in the period under review, up 22% on year with sales of flat products being the best, said Tata Steel.
