Tommy Hilfiger to focus on childrenwear

Fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger is eyeing 12-15 per cent revenue through children apparel in the next two years. The company would be opening 100 stores in the segment in the next two years.
As of date, the main revenue for the company in India comes through established portfolio that primarily includes menswear, womenswear.
Tommy Hilfiger India CEO and Director Shailesh Chaturvedi said in the next two years Tommy Hilfiger was eyeing 100 stores for childrenwear which would include exclusive stores and shop-in-shop stores. Till now, Tommy Hilfiger has 20 childrenwear stores with two exclusive and rest shop-in-shop stores. The childrenwear market in India is estimated at Rs 3,000 crore, registering 30 per cent compounded annual growth rate.
Chaturvedi was here to launch the second exclusive Tommy Hilfiger childrenwear store in Chandigarh. The company will then be opening two such stores in Delhi.
