Wipro acquires Unza for Rs 1,010cr

Wipro has acquired Unza Holdings (Unza), a Singapore-based FMCG company, in an all-cash deal worth Rs 1,010.2 crore (approximately $246 million).

The transaction is expected to be closed by the end of this month, according to a release issued by Wipro to the BSE today.

Unza has manufacturing plants in Malaysia, Vietnam, China and Indonesia. The company had recorded a turnover of Rs 683.3 crore for the fiscal ended April 30, 2007.
