Majority of Indian women, 68%, attach highest importance to work-life balance while defining career success, says a research by Accenture. However, for 44% of the male respondents, money is the most important factor that defines career success. Majority of the Indian respondents identified work-life-balance (55%), money (55%) and recognition (53%) as top three contributors towards defining success.
In November 2012, Accenture conducted an online survey of 4,100 business executives from medium to large organizations in 33 countries. The study, titled “Defining Success', was conducted to gain insight into behaviours and attitudes regarding women's careers, said a press release issued by the company.
The research seeks to better understand how professionals define success – in their careers and personal lives. In addition it explores career satisfaction, work-life balance and workplace priorities; and examines how technology influences work-life balance.
