Zensar announces Rs 269 crore deal with Assurant Health

Will provide IT support for suite of business applications used by Assurant Health for policy administration, underwriting and claims

Zensar Technologies today announced a Rs 269 crore deal with US-based Assurant Health, a provider of health insurance products for consumers.  

The deal spans development, testing, maintenance, enhancement and IT support for suite of business applications used by Assurant Health for policy administration, underwriting and claims.

“We are happy to announce that as part of this five-year engagement, Zensar will assist Assurant Health in implementing the infrastructure necessary to comply with the Patient Protection and Affordable Act,” said Chris Dowler, Chief Information Officer, Assurant Health.

Through the new five-year IT agreement, Zensar becomes a preferred IT provider, expanding upon the service relationship with Assurant health.

“Insurance and healthcare are both focus verticals for our company in North America and this deal falls in the sweet spot of our growth,” said Ganesh Natarajan, Chief Executive Officer of Zensar Technologies.

In the morning trade on the BSE the shares of Zensar Technologies were trading at Rs 243.50, up 1.61%.
