Fertiliser company Zuari Agro Chemicals today reported net loss of Rs 39.80 crore for the second quarter ended on September 30, due to lower sales.
The company had clocked net profit of Rs 19.34 crore in the July-September quarter of last fiscal, 2012-13.
Total income declined by 9% Rs 1,421.80 during Q2, 2013-14, from Rs 1,564.61 crore in the year-ago period.

The company, part of the Adventz group, has a manufacturing facility at Goa, with four plants dedicated to urea, DAP and NPK based fertilisers, with combined installed capacity of 11,00,000 metric tonne.
Zuari Agro scrip closed at Rs 101.55, down by 9.69%, on the BSE.
