HC admits civil defamation suit against Buddhadeb

The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday admitted a civil defamation suit filed by Trinamool Congress general secretary Mukul Roy against former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee for his alleged derogatory comments against Mamata Banerjee. Admitting the suit, Justice I P Mukerji directed Roy's counsels to serve notice to Bhattacharjee.
