Airline Fares Hit Ground Zero

A full-blown rate war erupted today with Jet Airways announcing up to 64 per cent reduction in ticket prices on 37 sectors and Indian Airlines promising to match it. The reduced fares for the economy class will be available for three months beginning August 1, with the rider that the tickets are booked at least three weeks in advance.
