Austrian president to visit Mysore

Austrian President Henz Fischer will be visiting Austria Technology & Systemtechnik or Austria Technology & Systems Engineering (AT&S) in Najangud, about 30 kms off Mysore, as part of his two-day visit to the state. He will arrive here on Saturday, will visit the company the next day and leave later for Bangalore.

AT&S, which has its head offices in Austria, produces printed circuit boards used in telecommunication, automobile industry and industrial and medical technology.

This advanced manufacturer of printed circuit boards is counted as Europe's largest in the product segment. It is spread across four locations in Austria and one each in India (Nanjangud) and China (Shanghai).

The plant in Nanjangud produces multilayer printed circuit boards for midrange and large-scale series. Continuous investments are made to develop the technological equipment as well as expand capacity.

The Nanjangud printed circuit boards are used predominantly in the areas of industrial and medical technology, and in the automotive industry as well. The visit of the the Austrian President to the company in Karnataka assumes significance in the light of all this.
