B'lore to host animation fest

The Association of Bangalore Animation Industry (ABAI) has announced that the first annual event on animations and gaming -- ABAI Fest 2006 -- will be held on September 3 in Bangalore.

The one-day event is designed to address the emerging opportunities and demands in animation and gaming industry in India.

According to the association, the event will provide a platform and opportunity to witness 'real world' information about the trends and opportunities in the animation industry.

"ABAI brings in like-minded people from Bangalore's animation and gaming industry and will discuss the emerging opportunities in global animation, gaming and VFX. We want all professionals and students who attend the event to return with a good learning and an open mind," said Asish Kulkarni, ABAI Fest chairman.
