Bishop Cotton Boys' School 'fully' adopts connected learning solution

Our Regional Bureau Bangalore
Bishop Cotton Boys' School has implemented Lyceum, a connected learning solution focussing on educational enterprise resource planning (ERP), global connected learning community and e-governance.

Lyceum, developed by Pac Soft Solution, MicroSoft's partner in India for development of education software, has been implemented in parts across 70 schools of which 45 are in Bangalore.

While all the other schools have adopted only the educational ERP, Bishop Cotton is the first to implement the full suite. A Pac Soft official said that two more schools are expected to adopt the full suite shortly.

Implementation of Lyceum is expected to assist the school and its students in three areas, according to a statement from the school.

Lyceum would create an open system for parent-teacher-student interaction, optimise the school's administration through a tailor-made ERP and enhance the source and scope of learning for students and educating for teachers.

Lyceum allows interaction between students and teachers across the globe, besides assisting parents to log-in and check their wards' performance.

The ERP covers fee, payroll and attendance management, marks and student monitoring, while the e-governance module helps schools promote seamless and transparent administration.
