Chargesheet Against Jaya In Hotel Case By January 19

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) will file the chargesheet before January 19 against former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha and former minister T M Selvaganapthy in the Pleasant Stay Hotel case. The case relates to grant of permission in violation of the building rules, for the construction of a Pleasant Stay Hotel at the hill resort of Kodaikanal. According to sources in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, charges will also be framed against Indian Administrative Service official Pandey and the hotels owner Rakesh Mittal. The sources said that as per the regulation, the governor had sanctioned permission for filing the chargesheet against the accused.
